Alexander City Schools is a public school district located in Alexander City, Alabama. The district comprises five schools: Jim Pearson Elementary School (Pre-K–2), Nathaniel H. Stephens Elementary School (Grades 3–4), William L. Radney Elementary School (Grades 5–6), Alexander City Middle School (Grades 7–8), and Benjamin Russell High School (Grades 9–12) . As of 2025, the district serves 2,899 students with an average student-teacher ratio of 17:1 . The student body is diverse, comprising 43% Black, 42% White, and 10% Hispanic students . The district offers gifted programs, Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and career and technical education. Dr. Beverly Price has been serving as the superintendent since her appointment in July 2022 .
