The Aleutian Region School District (ARSD), headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska, serves the remote communities of Atka and Adak in the Aleutian Islands. Currently, the district operates one school, the Yakov E. Netsvetov School in Atka, providing K–12 education. As of the 2024–2025 academic year, ARSD enrolls approximately 10 students, with a student-teacher ratio of 10:1. The student population is predominantly American Indian or Alaska Native (60%), with the remaining comprising White (20%) and two or more races (20%). The district emphasizes culturally relevant curricula and community engagement, focusing on the rich heritage of the Unangax̂ (Aleut) people.
