The district emphasizes 21st-century skills through its “Portrait of a Graduate” initiative, aiming to prepare students for success in college, careers, and life. AFUHSD boasts a 92% graduation rate, with 48% of students proficient in math and 44% in reading. The student body is diverse, comprising 53% Hispanic, 28% White, and 10% Black students. Agua Fria High School, the district’s original campus, offers a comprehensive curriculum, including 13 Advanced Placement courses, vocational programs, and a partnership with Luke Air Force Base for the Air Force JROTC program. Recent renovations have modernized the campus, enhancing both indoor and outdoor learning environments.
